Adiantum capillus-veneris

Adiantum capillus-veneris L. (subtrop., warm-temp. regions of the world) – An exceptional escape from cultivation, known since 2001 on damp walls in the ruins of the former Military Hospital in Berchem (Antwerpen). Discovered in 2007 in abundance in Deurne-Noord (Antwerpen) on several basement walls (confirmed in 2009, after the severe winter 2008-2009). At present much less cultivated than Adiantum raddianum and likely to be confused with it.
