Armoracia

Armoracia P. Gaertn., B. Mey. et Scherb.

Armoracia is a genus of three similar species native to southeastern Europe and southwestern and northeastern Asia. Contrary to Mabberley (2008) none is native in North America: Armoracia lacustris (A.Gray) Al-Shehbaz & V.M.Bates is now accommodated in Rorippa (compare Al-Shehbaz 2010a,b). One species, Armoracia rusticana, is widely cultivated as a condiment.
