Emilia

Emilia Cass.

Emilia is a genus of ca. 90 species (possibly much less), originally native to the Old World tropics. Some weedy species have spread far beyond their native distribution range and have become pantropical weeds.

Emilia is closely related to Senecio but most species, including E. fosbergii, rather look like a pink-flowered Sonchus. The latter has been recorded as an alien in Belgium.
