| Abstract: | Minuartia mediterranea, a new urban neophyte in Belgium. In the summer of 2004 a small population of the mediterranean Minuartia mediterranea was discovered on pavement and an old brick stone quay in the city of Ghent (prov. East-Flanders, Belgium). In 2005 numerous additional records were made the vicinity. It is believed to have recently naturalised. A description (incl. a scan of a herbarium specimen) and some remarks about locality, growing conditions and origin are presented. |
