Alyssum murale

2. Alyssum murale Waldst. et Kit. (SE-Eur., SW-As.) – A very rare but locally naturalized escape from cultivation. Known from old walls near Verviers around 1867 (Nyárády 1927). Furthermore recorded since at least 1907 from the surroundings of Huy, at first near Statte and at present also at Corphalie-Wanze (at least since 1993 but probably much longer; see Lambinon & al. 1998).

In the latter locality Alyssum murale is abundantly naturalized on rocky, sunny slopes along a railway track in the valley of river Meuse.
