Rostraria Trin.
Rostraria is a small genus with 5 or up to 12 species, depending on species delimitation. All are native to the Mediterranean region, adjacent parts of southwestern Asia, the Middle East and Macaronesia. It is rather poorly distinguished from Trisetaria and Koeleria. The latter genus is differentiated in being perennial. For differences between weedy species of Trisetaria and Rostraria, see under R. cristata.
A single species, Rostraria cristata, has become a widespread weed in many temperate regions of the world.
