Ruta

Ruta L.

Ruta is a small genus of five to seven species, all native in the Mediterranean region, western Asia and Macaronesia. A few species are cultivated as ornamentals or as a medicinal herb (Nelson 1997, Jäger & al 2008) but only one, Ruta graveolens, more or less widely so.
