Styracaceae

Styracaceae

The Styracaceae family is distributed in warm-temperate and tropical regions in America, the Mediterranean area and southeastern Asia. Species from several genera are cultivated as ornamental shrubs or trees in Europe (e.g. Wann 1997, Roloff & Bärtels 2006). One species of the genus Pterostyrax Siebold & Zucc. has been recorded as an escape in Belgium.
