Alyssum montanum

1. Alyssum montanum L. (C and S-Eur.) – An exceptional alien. Deliberately introduced on a calcareous, rocky and sunny slope at the CHU Hospital in Sart Tilman (near Liège) in 2002 (along with Dianthus subacaulis and Silene schafta), possibly for erosion control (or simply as an ornamental?). Very persistent, slightly spreading and now more or less naturalized locally.
