7. Nicotiana tabacum L. (trop. Am.) – Formerly much cultivated for the tobacco trade or as an ornamental. A rather rare and much decreasing, always ephemeral alien. Despite its status as an economically important species remarkably poorly known in Belgium. Much confused with Nicotiana xsanderae and N. alata.
