Crocus tommasinianus

Crocus tommasinianus Herb. (NW-Balkan) – Commonly planted in private and public gardens (usually in lawns), parks and old estates. Very locally probably naturalized as a feudal plant. Poorly known and perhaps sometimes confused with Crocus vernus. It is readily distinguished from the latter by its entirely white perianth tube (contrasting a lot with the colored perianth lobes) and the much narrower leaves that rarely are wider than 2-3 mm.
